Hi, I'm constantly updating this site in any spare time I have, as a Gamer and Developer I'm very busy with either playing or working games.
Not everyone knows me by Chris Bourton though, I've had a few Nicknames, usually with "Lethos" in it, as I don't always go by Chris; in my various different Gaming Communities and Programming/Development Projects.
As my Personal website, I write Articles and Pages about myself, and my work, rather than use a blog, so you'll find a little about me, who I am, and more importantly my news of my work in progress.
One day I might have a blog, but not yet, they just don't interest me at the moment when I spend so much time on Facebook.
The Games Industry is about alot more than just what we all do in our work, it's most definitely about still having time to do the
fun past times, which is why i've included those in my website.
Though if you still rather know alittle more about me and how I got to where I am, take a look at my Schooling and University
details and the Projects I did and am doing since then.
Lost in where to start, take a look at the Site Map, or hover over the menu buttons at the top.
Short Story of me as a Gamer and a Games Developer / Programmer
As a Gamer, in short I started at quiet an early age of 4, had a few consoles from the Spectrum ZX to the Sega Master System I, but since then have moved more to PC games.
By the Age of 14, I had played more than just Single player games, Enjoying RPG's to Shoot'em ups to Adventure games.
I jumped into Online Games and before to long was a "Clan" leader, time at time, playing online games I found myself drawn to position in communities, 10 odd years on, I am still enjoying it.
As a developer, I started at 12, making a simple game or two in "Basic" and C, and tried C++ around 15/16, and by 17 I had already mastered such Web Scripts and languages as PHP, HTML, MySQL, JavaScript.
For the Most part I am self-taught in my programming, though my time at univerisity played it's part to remind me of all my bad habits, and my desire to have it perfect.
At University I re-learnt a few things I had done before university, and learnt a few new tricks for C++ mostly, and really grew more to love Massive Multiple Online Games, and building Gaming Communities;
That is where I knew where I wanted to go.
That wasn't where I started though, First was Pure Java games on mobile phone, but chance to go back to what I really wanted to do came with working on a project with AVPI, that was a mulitplayer roleplaying game.
Freelance work of course can be anything from SEO advice and programming tweaks to my consulting or programming on full blown Gaming Projects.
